Sauber’s New F1 Team Name Has Been Revealed

Posted on December 15, 2023 | by Dre Harrison One of the more intriguing F1 off-season news stories was what was going to happen with the artists formerly known as Alfa Romeo, after its sponsorship deal with Swiss team Sauber was finishing up at the end of the season. Alfa Romeo is leaving F1 altogether – it is evaluating a potential World Endurance Championship entry instead – leaving Sauber without a title sponsor. Until today! We can now reveal that Sauber’s 2024 team name will be… *drumroll*… Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, with the Gambling and Streaming giants respectively both featuring in the team name and the chassis name of the next two Sauber cars. So the 2024 chassis name will be the “KICK Sauber C44”. Rolls right off the tongue.  Sauber Team Representative, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, said in a statement: “Sauber has always been about innovation, breaking the mould and defying convention. The partnership with Kick.com is the latest and boldest display of the philosophy that drives us.  “Kick.com is redefining the way live streaming is done and they will adopt the same disruptive approach in the world of Formula One. With Kick.com, our goal is to make the next step in finding new and innovative ways to get closer to our fans.” Who knows? Maybe we’ll all get used to it in time, but I do suspect we’re all just going to call it “Sauber” here! Are you a fan of Sauber’s new team name?
