Lewis Hamilton Is Already Feeling Downbeat About The 2024 Season

Posted on November 28, 2023 | by Charley Williams In a world where Red Bull has dominated the last two seasons of Formula 1, it’s hard for anyone to imagine that 2024 will be any different. In fact, it could remain this way until the 2026 revamp. We know it, you know it, and Lewis Hamilton knows it.  After rounding out the season in P9 in Abu Dhabi, Hamilton was feeling a bit glum after the race, despite clinching P2 in the constructors for Mercedes and finishing P3 in the championship behind two rocketship Red Bulls. All work redirects itself to the 2024 season, and while every driver hopes to bring the fight to Red Bull next year, Hamilton reminded the media of the harsh reality that the RB19 hasn’t been upgraded since the summer break. Last month, Christian Horner admitted that the reason behind not developing its already dominant 2023 car further was that they chose to use all the limited wind tunnel time it had working on next year’s car ???? Hamilton said: “Red Bull won by 17 seconds and has not touched the car since August. So, you can pretty much guess where they’re going to be next year…” He reiterated the same point to Sky Sports F1 and added it was “definitely a concern.” Asked what he was taking away from the 2023 season, Hamilton said: “Not too much, really. It’s not been a great year in general. So, there’s not a lot to take from the year. The fact I survived it… that’s about it.” Do you think Red Bull will dominate in 2024, too?
