The Hefty Price Tag That Red Bull Will Have To Pay To Enter 2024 F1 Season

Alright, no one likes to be handed a bill, but this is just… woah. While we’re sure Red Bull has enjoyed its incredibly dominant 2023 season, we’re not sure it will enjoy the hefty entry fee it needs to pay the FIA to enter the 2024 season.  We always thought the saying was “pain is the path to success”, but in Formula 1, it seems it’s the other way around! In 2013, a revised Concorde Agreement came into effect, which included the FIA ruling that entry fees for each team were based on the number of points scored in the previous season. Initially, this was a measly $500,000 base fee, plus $5000 per point scored, with the constructors’ champion paying $6000. But in the past 10 years, as with everything in life, fees have risen, and it now stands at $657,837 for the base fee, plus $6575 per point, with the constructors champion paying $7893. Gosh, whatever happened to rounding down? You can probably see where this is going… Red Bull has had a record-breaking season, with both drivers combining to win 21 out of the 22 races and secured both the driver and constructors’ titles. The team ended the season with a huge 860 points. This means that Red Bull will have to pay a staggering $7,445,817 to the FIA to confirm its entry for 2024 ???? Here’s how the other team’s figures stand: Mercedes: $3,347,012 Ferrari: $3,327,287 McLaren: $2,643,487 Aston Martin: $2,498,837 Alpine: $1,446,837 Williams: $841,937 AlphaTauri: $822,212 Alfa Romeo: $763,037 Haas: $736,737 Well, this is one bill we definitely wouldn’t offer to pick up! ????
