F1 Fans Went Absolutely Wild For The Last Lap Of The Brazilian GP

DON’T YOU JUST LOVE A PHOTO FINISH? It’s times like these that really remind us why we love Formula 1 so much. It was the dramatic finish for the last podium spot that F1 fans had been waiting all season for, and we took in every moment of it.  Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez had been duelling throughout the entire final stint of the Brazil Grand Prix, and by the time they got to the chequered flag, the pair were separated by an incredible 0.053s. It was REALLY close. Fernando defended like an absolute lion, despite having a much faster Red Bull hanging onto his gearbox the entire lap, and he secured the final podium place, joining Lando Norris in second and Max Verstappen on the top spot. Beautiful. Even both drivers enjoyed the battle, and after sharing a hug in the media pen, Fernando said: “I told him don’t put me under this stress anymore because I’m not 20 years old anymore!” ???? Social media went wild, and these were some of our favourite reactions! How much did you enjoy the final lap? Let us know the comments!
