Alpine Adds Six Sports Superstars To Owner List, Including Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend

Wow, the hoped-for ‘Welcome To Enstone’ documentary just got much more Hollywood. Earlier this year, Alpine announced that Ryan Reynolds’ investor group had bought into the team, and now – much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe that Reynolds is a part of – that group has expanded. Alpine secured a 200 million cash deal from Otro Capital, a group of investors which included the likes of Reynolds, Rob McElhenney and Michael B. Jordan. But now, Otro Capital has brought aboard several A-List stars to be a part of its ownership group, including: Patrick Mahomes – quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce –  also a player for the Kansas City Chiefs (though we won’t judge if you currently know him as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) Rory McIlroy – PGA golfer Anthony Joshua – a British boxer who also happens to be a two-time heavyweight champion Trent Alexander-Arnold – football player for Liverpool FC Juan Mata – former Manchester United and Chelsea football player The addition of these championship-winning international athletes and sports investors will definitely bolster Otro Capital’s strategic partnership with Alpine and drive awareness across almost every area of sport. In a press release from Otro Capital, shared by Alpine, Mahomes said: “I’ve always had a passion for all sports. The opportunity to lead an investor group with Travis in Alpine F1 alongside Otro Capital was one I couldn’t pass up. “It’s an exciting time for the sport, and this is an opportunity to bring our shared values to the world stage. I’m looking forward to being a part of its growth.” Kelce also shared his excitement for taking on this challenge alongside his teammate: “It’s about being able to contribute to a sport that demands precision, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of success. “I am looking forward to this new chapter and can’t wait to see what we achieve together.” It’s probably about time that Martin Brundle learns who Patrick Mahomes actually is after the 2022 Miami GP blunder! ????
