Zak Brown Has Offered To Fly Oscar Piastri’s Mum Out To The Japanese GP

She has become an absolute staple of our F1 weekends! ???? If you don’t already follow her on Twitter, you must. In the light of Oscar’s brilliant Japanese GP qualifying, Nicole tweeted this response to McLaren: Oscar has impressed everyone this season with his consistent and clean form, particularly for a driver in his rookie year. Since making his F1 debut in Bahrain, he’s achieved a top-three finish in the Belgian GP Sprint and great qualifying results just behind his teammate, Lando Norris. Earlier this week, it was announced that Piastri had extended his contract with McLaren until 2026, and the Japanese GP qualifying proved exactly why the team were keen to keep him on. This weekend is the first time Oscar has driven around the Suzuka circuit, yet he managed to out-qualify Lando and stick his car on the front row alongside Max Verstappen for tomorrow’s race ???? Oscar’s mum obviously wants to get in on the action and support her son in Japan, so Zak Brown offered to take her up on the “cheap flight.” Talking to Sky Sports F1, he said: “I’m very happy to buy her an airline ticket. So, if you can hear, Mrs Piastri – we want to see you tomorrow!” If we were Oscar’s mum, we would be packing our bags! ????
